My birthday is in ten days!!!!! I am so excited! My cousins are coming out for my birthday as well. I love them so much! I don't know who I would be if it weren't for them!

I know, I know. I bet your wondering why I am posting this when I could wait ten more days and post pictures as well, and that is an excellent question. One, in fact that doesn't have an answer. I guess I just wanted to post something! I haven't posted in a while and I have missed it.

Sorry I haven't edit ths blog in a while. I have been a little busy.

I miss ny little brother right now. I wish he was here. I wouldn't have the problems I have right now if he was here. I don't blame Heavenly Father, though. It's just another chakllenge I need to defeat.

Curran was my little eye-opener. This year his spirit will turn 6 years old.

Buz and Woody Action Figures

This year, Caulder got 2 life size Buz and Woody action figures and the twins each love their one, Treyton likes Woody better and Sutter can't stop pushing Buzz's buttons. I wish I had pictures, but we haven't taken any pictures since Christmas! I promise I will update the blog when I do.

Hi! How was your Christmas? Mine was fantastic!!!!!! We woke up at 6:30 a.m., opened 90 (I'm just guessing) presents, played hard, and had a wonderful feast!!!!! We had ham, salad, rolls, and mashed potatoes! I ate at least 5 servings of potatoes.
Anyway, we hope you all had a great Christmas and will have a happy new year!!!!!

Back to School Tomorrow!

Hi. I have to go back to school tomorrow and I am so nervous to see who I am sitting by (Mr. Marinovich switched our seats around). Before we went off-track I sat by a girl named June (also one of 2 of my best friends). I am sooooooo exicted to go back to my in-school schedule. I must say, I love to make schedules. I have two. One for off-track and one for in school.

My mom has to do my hair right now so I have to go. Bye!

I love to edit this blog! It is so thrilling! I hope you guys like reading my posts. I know I enjoy writing them. My uncle, Judah, is coming over to my house today for the day because he was working in San Diego over the weekend so he decided he wanted to come over to say "hi" to us.

I decided I was going to give you a little biography on Claire. And an autobiography.

Claire Pace: Heart of an Actress

Claire was born on June 4, 2002 in Utah. She has been in two mini-kid productions and one TV commercial. The two plays she was in were Jungle Book in 2008 and Sleeping Beauty in 2009. In Jungle Book, she was a bee. In Sleeping Beauty, she was a flame of fire, a bird, and a peasant. She was in a commercial for H1N1. She also loves to participate in little concerts and plays in our playroom on the stage. In thirteen years, go to a broadway play and I bet you will find Claire Pace

Savannah Pace: Scientist, Author, Director, and Teacher

I have so many favorite things and so many things I want to become. I love to make experiments and read on inventory skills. I love to write little books for my friends to check out of my personal library. I love to direct and be in plays. So far, I have directed (and been in) one play, Wicked JR., and I think I am going to do another one toward the end this November called Aladdin JR.

Hello!

I am back and my fingers are itching to type! I found out that my mom wasn't doing a very good job at posting on the blog, so, now I am going to be the one who will edit the blog. I can't wait to start.
We had such a wonderful time at my grandmother's house a few weeks abo. We went to Bananas, watched a rodeo, went horse-back riding, river-rafting, and climbed huge trees in her back yard. It was only for girls 8 to 11. Only 7 girls were there! She has an indoor pool in her house!! The pool was 90 degrees! We swam in it at least ten times in the four days we were there. She lived in Colorado. At her house, we did a fashion show, talent show, and had several movie parties. I hope she will do this with us again, because it was a blast!
In the time my mom wasn't posting, we also started school! I am now in fifth grade, Claire started third grade, and Caulder started preschool!! My teacher's name is Mr. Marinovich! He is my first boy teacher! Claire's teacher's name is Mrs. Burchett. She was also my third grade teacher. Caulder's teacher's name is Teacher Kim, who is also in his church, so he simply adores her. I can't believe I am wrapping up my last year in Elementary school! Next year, I will start Middle school. I am so excited!
I recently started babysitting for my neighbors. They adore having me over for little "playdates" in their words. I love doing it and I can't wait until I can't start babysitting other families too.

Okay, I'm gonna try...

Savannah has been begging me for months to blog. Because I haven't had time, she has picked up my slack. I actually have loved reading what she writes. it gives me a little insight into what she is thinking about how our lives are going... I am not making any promises, but I will try to blog more often.

If any of you know me, you know how much I hate change. Well, the twins, as of today, are done nursing. This may not seem momentous to anyone but me, but for me it is so hard!! Knowing they are my last makes it all that much worse. Todd keeps trying to reassure me by saying that I should feel great about nursing them both for over ten months, but it really doesn't make me feel much better.

Enough of that diatribe. We are down to the last of the girls summer vacation. They start 3rd and 5th grade next week! Just writing that has me thinking, "Where did the time go?" They are so big! We have enjoyed several fun things while they have been off. It started with our awesome visit from Anna and Dave and family. It was so fun to get Treyton and Sutter together with Liam and to see the older ones play and interact. My only regret is that they didn't stay longer! We went to the girls first swim meet together, did a lot of swimming at home, went to funworks, out to lunch, Todd and Dave golfed, Anna and I braved Eclipse with the other teeny boppers there, and of course, celebrated an awesom fourth of July on the 3rd with a barbecue, swimming, fireworks, a backyard campfire and smores. The girls then spent a wonderful week with Grandma Gloria and girl cousins in Colorado while enjoying horseback riding, talent shows, crafts, river rafting, swimming and more... then apent several days with Aunt Debbie's family before returning home. We have been to the movies several times, swim team and meets, chuck E Cheese, backyard swimming, and more! We have stayed close to home since the twins are still a lot of work, but I think we have had a relaxing summer break!

The twins are getting bigger with Sutter getting his first tooth finally this week. Caulder starts preschool in two weeks and is super excited! Savannah and Claire have spent any and all of there free time working on a play that they are putting together with the Stacey kids entitled Wicked Jr. Can't wait to see the performance. I will post pics.

I will try to be a better blogger... I get to caught up reading all my friends blogs and run out of time to post on my mine, but I will try to switch things up a bit...

Hi! I am so excited to tell you about last week that I spent at my grandma's!!!!! It was so much fun! We went to Bananas, to a rodeo, horse-back riding, rafting, had a talent show, had 2 movie parties, and had a fashion show. We had a blast in her INDOOR pool! The pool was 90 degrees! Its deepest range was 9 feet deep. She let us dive into it! There were 5 of my fave girl cousins there, Reagan, Macy, Aislyn, Kalli, and Shani. And add me and Claire. New Hairstyles and Camping

Hi, this is Savannah, and I am posting some new pics with new hairstyles. I also had a few other family member's hair pictures too.

We also went camping one week ago and went with the Carlson's. We had a blast in a nearby meadow and we made ice packs!!!!!!!!!! We just used sap, big leafs, two cups, two sticks, and a lantern (we just used the lantern for light).

The Carlsons did a wonderful job preparing meals and presenting them. For dinner we had potatoes, hot dogs, lemonade, and grapes and for breakfast we had cereal, eggs, milk, and grapes. They were wonderful to volunteer to do that. We really appriciated it and we hope to go camping again soon.

This morning, me and my family went o a walk to get donuts. I know, it seema almost impossible having 5 kids but we made it. We had Caulder and the twins in the triple stroller and me and Claire rode our bikes and my parenst ran along side that. It was a lot of fun and excercise. Hi, this is Savannah, and I am going to tell you about the Rodeo parade that was down in Oakdale. I was IN it! I did a dance to the song, Cowboy Casanova by Carrie Underwood. It was a project for my dance studio and I had a lot of fun with my friends doing, but it was a lot of work! I had to go to practice on Mondays for 2 hours, Tuesdays for 1 hour, and Thursdays for 2 hours! Five hours of dance per week! It was a crazy job getting me there and back home three times a week, but I had a lot of fun in the parade. I had a lot of my friends that weren't in the dance there to support me. We had to walk (dance) for almost 2 miles! But the time went by fast. I really enjoyed it! I hope you like the photos we got!

I am ten years old and I am a cool, educated, and ceative girl. My favorite color is
purple and I love steak and cream soda. The book series that I am reading right now are Harry Potter and The Serines of Unfortunant Events (they both are very good). I am a wonderful daughter, older sister, and friend. I am in fourth grade and am a straight-A student. I am a great baker, dancer, singer, and pianist.

He is 2 1/2 and he is cool, sweet, strong, and brave. His favorite color is blue and he loves bread (I was surpried too!) and juice. He is not reading books yet but he loves reading anything that is involved with monsters or aliens. He is a wonderful little brother, big brother, and son. He is not in school but can't wait to go to preschool. He is known for his imagination.

Treyton Conrad Pace

He is almost seven months and he is so brave! He rolled off the couch this morning and he didn't cry at all! We gave him his first shoot of water last night and he loved it! He is a wonderful little brother, big brother, and son. He is a wonderful little baby.

Sutter Carson Pace

He is almost seven months and he is a wonderful little boy. He just thinks " my parents are doing what they need to do and when they get done with that they will feed me. He never cries and he has a small fuss. He is a wondeful little brother and son. He is a wonderful little brother.

Hi, this is Savannah and I am going to tell you about my birthday and my birthday party. I had so much fun! My actual birthday was on Monday but my birthday party was on Saturday.

At my birthday party, we did lunch (subway sandwiches and chips) and had cake and ice cream! I had a lot of fun with all of my friends and family. I got a bunch of presents and toys to play with. Now, I have over $100!

On my birthday, I got breakfast in bed (waffles, milkshake, and donut). It was delicious! I had a fun time! I got a camera from my parents. It is purple, even!

Hi this is Savannah and I am here to tell you that my mom, my grandma, Claire, and I went to go see... WICKED!!!!! It was so good. Elphaba(the wicked witch) and Glinda (the good witch) were so good at singing! They could have shown the judges of American Idol what good singing was like.

It was a lot better than I expected it to be. I never knew that love was involved with Elphaba and Fiyero (the boy that was "the cutest boy in Oz). I always thought that is was just about Galinda (I know, it WAS spelled Galinda but changes in the middle of the production to Glinda) and Elphaba. Wait a minute...

Elphaba's sister (the wicked witch of the East) was involved and her name was Nessarose.

Glinda was so funny!

My favorite songs were No One Mourns The Wicked, What Is This Feeling, Popular, Defying Gravity, The Wicked Witch Of The East, I'm Not That Girl, As Long As You're Mine, and No Good Deed. No, those aren't all of the songs.

"Let's Just Zone."

Hi, this is Savannah and I am going to tell you all about this morning and what we are doing lately in my household. This morning, my mom came downstairs and saw Claire, Sutter, and me all sitting in front of the TV watching Barbie Fairytopia (one of my basic favorites). She was so surprised to see that Sutter was basically sucked into the movie and jerking up whenever something unexpected happened. It was hilarious! When Caulder came downstairs, he was wearing a pretty purple gown and a crown carrying a box full of jewelry and fake makeup. It was a very random morning.

The weather was so warm on Tuesday, so Claire and I got on our bathing suits and jumped on the WET trampoline (my mom held the hose over the trampoline and we jumped on it) and made a "water slide" by dangling the hose over the edge of the slide and had the water running down the slide. We got soaked!

It Was An Accident

Two days ago, Caulder got bumped accidentally off the stage upstairs and bit through his lip. He know has bite marks on the right side of his mouth below his lip. We have been putting ice on it and he has been eating popsicles. He is feeling better but every once in a while it feels warm to the touch and he says "It hurts mommy!" every once in a while. He will get better soon though.

Ward Talent Show and Random Febuary

Hi, this is Savannah (as you might have guessed). I am going to tell you about the wad talent show that was a great hit last night. I preformed a song/dance with Jade Stacey and preformed a song on the piano. My dad drew a few pictures to show in the artistic rooms (he was really good!).

In Febuary, my sister and I both had Valentines Day parties in our classrooms with or classes. We had fun with games, candy, sweet treats, and fun with our friends.

After school was crazy for me. On tuesdays I had piano lessons and every other week, activity day girls. On Wednesdays, I had a High Achievers class for an hour. On Thursdays, I had jazz class. The only two days that I had in the week that I was completly free were Fridays and Mondays.

Claire also started piano so she had piano on tuesdays too.

Hi, this is Savannah, to tell you about our Christmas...

Christmas Eve...

On Christmas Eve, my dad read three books to us and Claire and I did a ittle musical number and we got to open up ONE present (as tradition). Caulder got a pair of Buz Lightyear pjs, Claire opened up a pair of candy striped pjs, the twins each got reindeer pjs, and I opened up these fuzy purple and pink pj pants and a Winter Wonderland at the Lodge purple pj shirt. They are really comfy.

Christmas Morning,

As soon as I woke up (i'm the early riser), I woke up the rest of my family and we went into the playroom and said a prayer of thanks, while my dad turned on the christmas tree lights. We have a little tradition that we go downstairs, open up our stockings, open ONE present, eat cinnomon rolls and drink hot chocolate, then we open up the rest of the presents. My mom aso lets us do what ever we want for the rest of the day. Last christmas, I took the portable dvd player into my room and watched movies and helped my parents repaint my room.

Savannah Ashley Pace...

She is such a sweetheart and a big help around the house. Yesterday we were working on who's chores were who's and she volunteered to do the downstairs bathroom, her bedroom, the laundry room, and the downstairs hallway. And not just pick up the toys and clothes all around the floor, no, cleaning with the cleaners and dusting and vacuuming. And she got it all done in the morning! She is a fast-learner, great student, and pianist. You are awesome sweetheart!

Claire Rebecca Pace...

Claire is a great help with Caulder even though they fight sometimes, she still does not give up hope on being his bud. Now that she and Savannah are on winter beak, I will have a lot more help around the house. Yesterday, she volunteered to do her bedroom and bathroom. It took her from morning untill noon but at least is happened! She is a warm-hearted girl, great student, and star performer. Great work, sis!

Caulder Joesph Pace...

Caulder is a nice and sweet but can sometimes be a little jazzed up and sassy. He is getting used to being a big brother and will sometimes help me with them! He is going to try to be good and earn his " Big Boy bed" by new years. He is so funny!

A few weeks ago, we had our pictures taken by Liz. ( Thanks so much, Liz! ) We have not yet recieved all of then but we have one of them to show to you. I know what you are going to say, How did you do all of that in one morning. Well, Savannah's hair took about, ten minutes, Claire's took about five minutes and Caulder's, to twenty seconds so recording all that I had to do took, thirty minutes and twenty seconds. And Todd helped put the twins clothes and he could pretty much take care of himself. And here is our reward,

Hi, this is Savannah, and I am going to tell you about what we did since I have been off-track. Claire and I had our Halloween parties on the last day of school and had a lot of sweets. We had a couple of people from our family come out to visit us for the twins baby blessings such as, Katelyn, Tami, Mara, and Grandma and Grandpa Houser.

Trick or Treat!

Hi, Savannah here, and I am going to tell you all about what we did last night for Halloween. We went to about 15 houses shouting for treats and went through 2 haunted mansions. It was pretty scary! There were strobe lights and freaky CDs and discs with screams and cackles being played! I was the brave one and went through as many of them as I could find. At the end, I ended up with 61 pieces of candy and Claire with 69 (although I did get a whole Crunch bar).

Twins!!!!!!

I am editing to tell you what two presents we got last Friday. Their names are Treyton and Sutter. They are sooo cute. My kids didn't get to see them until Thursday because they wouldn't let anyone see them except mom and dad. They didn't even get to see me!!!!!!

Sorry we haven't updated in a while but our lives are really busy right now with twins, Savannah having jazz, Claire having play practices, and Caulder being more and more needy now as he is getting older.

Savannah has been a great help around the house and trying to straighten out fights between Claire and Caulder and even with her herself. She just barely started doing jazz and has been talking about it ever since. She is becoming more and more mature every day. She is also becoming more and more like me. I am blessed to hear that she is not going to be married unitl she is 25. I can use all the help I can get!

Claire has also been a great help and she is growing more beautiful every day such as Savannah. She has recently tried out for a Sleeping Beauty play and made it. She is a star performer.

Caulder has loved being a big brother and is learning about being gentle to them. He is also learning how to hold them. He can't hold them while he is standing up but I imagine it won't be long until he will. He is growing up so fast!

Our July

Our July was filled with kids!! The girls were off track which allowed for a ton of playdates with friends, swim lessons, movies, trips and concerts. The Houser family reunion was held at the beginning of July in Utah and even without myself in attendance, it sounds like they had a blast!! We also enjoyed a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Houser at the end of the month. My friends (I truly have the best!)also threw me a terrific baby shower! Here are some pictures to represent the month's activities in our household....

Hi, this is Savannah and I am going to tell you about My Grandma and Grandpa's visit. We had a lot of fun when our grandparents came to visit us this last week. I know my parents don't update enough so I try to update for them. We went swimming, and I had my last swim compentition this last Friday. I won two medals and two ribbons. Back to telling what I did with my Grandparents. My grandma helped me with making a body pillow and a blanket for myself. Literally! The last couple of entries were not written by myself but by my wonderful daughter Savannah! Who would have known? She writes so well portraying her mother! I guess that's the beauty and (scariness) of the internet. You never know who could be pretending to be you!! It's partly my fault. She bothers me all the time to update and I always have some lame excuse as to why I don't. "Nobody wants to read about us..." "I don't write very well..." " I haven't uploaded new pictures in awhile..." whatever the excuse I am online now and willing to update while she is at school.

My friend, Julie, told me last night that the first thing I need to mention and announce on here is that for those of you who don't already know, I am pregnant. Not only am I pregnant, We are having twins. They are due in Sept and we are told they are both boys. The pregnancy has gone well so far except for the double dose of symptoms. I was doubly morning sick for the first 4 months and now am doubley big with double the movement so double the soreness and nausesness. I can't complain though, because I feel doubley blessed.

This weekend has been full of excitment and catching up with my girls because Todd and Caulder went to North Carolina and so we had some GNO (girls night out) time. We have watched movies, gone to the mall (bling bling), and loving time. My girls have this Monday off of school so we are going to go see Hannah Montana the movie with some friends and then going over for a playdate. We are going to have an awesome weekend!

My baby is nine! I can't belive how old she is getting and much more helpful she is around the house. She actually turned nine on April 5th, but i have not updated my blog for so long.

She had her birthday at the bowling alley, no, she had a HORSE themed birthday party at the bowling alley. She invited six of her friends to her party, Hailey, Jade, Cambrie, Alexus, Paetyn, and Timea. We had a blast!

Since she is nine, she got her own bedroom but Claire has a frequency to have to have someone to snuggle so she sleeps with Claire.

I promised myself I wouldn't read anyone else's blogs this week until I had updated mine. The scenario always goes something like this.... I get online, I pull up my blog, I start down my list of links for my friends and families blogs, I get to about Crosby family and have to make dinner and eat dinner, then I come back, and I get to the Kroutil's blog with my reading and have to stop to get the kids to bed, then I come back and finish reading blogs and remind myself I haven't checked my email or facebook recently and after reading the 40 emails and responding on facebook it's 11 and My eyes are tooo woozy to find anything interesting to write on my blog. So, today I'm trying a new schedule. I will inivitably have to stop to make dinner and put the kids to bed but I might just get through updating this by the time 11 rolls around...

Sorry, for the long diatribe of explanations... Our family has been busy living life. Here is some pictures representing some of the fun stuff that has been keeping us happy...

Bachelor nights take place every monday night at my house and they have been so much fun!! They keep me very happy!!

Caulder had ear tubes placed in his ears this month due to his recurrent ear infections. It was the first time we had had any of our children have surgery at the hospital since Curran, so it was very hard for me. The surgery took 15 minutes and the surgical center in Turlock did such a fantastic job handling me and my paranoias. They let me hold him all the way to the OR and then I talked to him until he fell asleep on the operating table. When the surgery was over I was able to be right by his bed as he woke up.

DISNEYLAND!!! I know Savannah posted a little about this earlier, but I had to add my pics and comments! It was a blast. What could be more fun than disneyland?? Well, trying going with all of your best friends (who also happen to be your sisters and your mom) and all of their cute girls! We had a such an amazing time and made a lot of eternal memories. Yes, the ice cream man has already hit the streets of our town and the kids are so excited! I hardly ever let them get ice cream. I try to keep it special. This day I was in a particularly good mood and decided "Oh, well."

Mara took a special trip to my house on the way to disneyland. It was so much fun spending that one on one time with her and her girls. We took a little walk to see the horses that live near our house and took some pics. She also accompanied me on the drive to so-cal to meet up with everyone else and I thoroughly enjoyed our chat amongst the interesting smells along the journey, sleeping girls and poltergist-type outbursts from Claire in the backseat. Fun memories!

Todd and I spent yesterday morning at the temple while our kids played at a friends house (Thanks again to Jamie and Wade!) The kids had a ball and it was very nice to start out the new year sitting in the one place on earth that you can feel extreme peace.

After neglecting our children all morning from 830-230 (while they played and had a blast!!) we decided to take them out for some family fun at the bowling alley. The sack full of dollar store treats kept Caulder happy and the rest of us had a ball (pun intended.) Our 2009 has been really wonderful so far (I do realize that we have only had 11 days so far and that I am probably jinxing myself by writing any of this.) This is me, Savannah. In the month of December, my mom had a Preschool Program and we all had a bunch of Christmas parties.

I also had a Kitten Chior featuring 2 songs called Red And Green and Pinata and 31 third grade girls performed in the choir. Some of my favorite girls were Hailey Weltmer, Hanna Lazconnie, Lauren Linn, and Vanessa Fernandez. It was a great choir.

This year we decided to use the extra gingerbread cookies from our huge batch to give them to our neighbors and friends with extra frosting and candies. We took pictures of our own decorating. Caulder really got into it. He enjoyed the plain cookie until he tasted the frosting and then he just kept having the girls put more on as fast as he could lick it off.

I had the joy of accompanying Savannah on her field trip to Knights Ferry this past week. I love to share in those one on one moments with my kids and it's fun to see them in their element with their friends. The girls got early cousin christmas gifts and all got the same dress ups.

This Thanksgiving we went to Tami's and Mike's house. On the way, we stopped at Debbie and Rolan's new house and had a lot of fun with them and we got to see Aislyn's Thanksiving play at her school.

We also got to see Henry, Amara, and all of the other cousins. We got to see the two babies blessings on saturday.

We played Switch with all of our cousins. I got two dress ups from the movie High School Musical from Jessica and and two of my other cousins got the same thing! Claire got a High School Musical 3 make up kit from Victoria.

Grandma and Grandpa rented us some big bouncey houses and slides that we played with in the church gym while the adults talked and made food. We had a blast! Thanks grandma!

Aislyn, Kallie, Claire, Macy, and I got to put on a play called Forest Changes. Aislyn was a fish, a poor girl, and a Butterfly, Kallie was a poor girl and a peacock, Macy was the director, Claire was a caterpillar, a tiger and a butterfly and last but not least, ME! I was a bird and a homless girl. It was a great show!

While we were at Tami and Mike's we played with all 27 cousins non-stop! The adults speant time shopping, playing games, and talking.

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my house because it has been pretty cold outside.

We visit Napa while the Houser girls visit

This past weekend mom and dad took off for a short trip to Napa after getting us comfortable with Dani and Reagen who flew out to watch us. They visited an italian castle (which also happened to be a winery,) went to the beach, played golf, hiked around Jack London State Park, ate great food, saw "007," and missed us a lot. Meanwhile, back at home, we went to the park two times, went to Fun Works, rented Kung Fu Panda and Tinkerbell from Redbox, ate lots of candy, played outside (the weather was SOOOOO WARM,) did gymnastics,and had fun with our cousins.

When mom and dad got home saturday night they took us out to dinner and then to see Madagascar 2 at the movie theater. Dani and Regean had to go home on Sunday, but we sure had a good time with them while they were here. Hopefully they come back out to see us again really soon! We get to see them next week in Utah. We can't wait to see all of our Cousins and our Grandma and Grandpa, and Aunts and Uncles. I think we will have fun!

"Spray butter in my sippy cup, please."

Caulder approached Todd this morning as he was making breakfast with a sippy cup and the spray butter that he had gotten from the fridge. "Please?" was his simple plea. Cute.... My son loves butter, so this wasn't too weird, except when I think of him actually drinking butter from his cup. EEKK!! Life has been full of kids. The girls are off track and Savannah has been keeping us all on a schedule. We had a few days at the beginning of this "vacation" period where I let us be free. No schedules, no hassles, except for the things that were no option activities like Claire's Yes Company rehearsals, Savannah's piano lessons, both the girls dance classes and Caulders naps. I don't give up naps!! Anyway, within those 2 days Savannah was going buggy!! She decided to come up with her own schedule. It went something like this: get up, do math, do PE, do social studies, do reading, do writing, do music, do art, watch TV, and play on the computer. It also included weekly field trips and 2 friend play dates per week. Needless to say, we compromised and came up with a schedule that she and the rest of the family could handle. I kept thinking "Man, this girl loves school!" She has such a great teacher this year who has really given her a new enthusiasm for learning and especiually for reading. She has read several books already since she has been off track. Claire is really enjoying her Yes Company rehearsals. Their performance of the Jungle Book is later this month. Claire was cast as a Bumble Bee. Both of the girls are really enjoying their friends, and Caulder is having a ball!! We spent last monday at Fun Works (for our field trip,) and he was in heaven! He also really loves shoes, popcorn, and eating markers. Saturday night the girls had Jade and Cambrie Stacey over for a "girls night." They put on a whole Hannah Montana concert in the playroom and ate pizza and watched "Fish Tales." They really get along well together. This week we are looking forward of the arrival of Dani and Regan on Wednesday. That's all the girls can talk about!

We have been keeping busy attending a bunch of parties. The ones we liked most are the ward party and Currans birthday. Jodi made us a super superman cake and we enjoyed it. It was very nice of her to think of us and our boy. We miss our baby Curr-t because he meant a lot of things to us.

For Halloween, Savannah is Mitchie from Camp Rock, Claire is a Silvermist fairy and Caulder is a very cute golfer. We liked the ward party because we had a lot of fun with a lot of friends. At the ward party we went trunk or treating and got a lot of candy and we all enjoyed it.

Savannah and Claire just went off track for five weeks. On our vancation, we are going to Utah to spend some time with our family for Thanksgiving. Dani and Reagen are also coming out to visit us too. We are going to have a vacation filled with fun!

Story about cereal from a 6 year old

I just had to write this story down. Last sunday Claire and I were making Crunchy Fudge Sandwiches, one of our favorite dessert treats where you have to pour melted butterscotch chips and peanut butter over rice krispy's. At this particular step in the process, Claire looks in the bowl and says, "I wouldn't like being a rice krispy. That sauce looks heavy." I then said, "But Claire, then you could lick all the yummy sauce off of yourself." She paused, and then said, "But then I would get eaten by big people and die! But that actually wouldn't be so bad, 'cause then I would get to see Curr-t!" I love the way her little mind thinks!!

The rest of the week was pretty much a blur. Except today, which was utterly delightful. I sure love our sundays off. It's such relaxing day to not have to do anything! Savannah made her famous and very yummy pancakes all by herself as she does most sunday mornings when this early bird rises and the rest of the family is still sleeping! Then I lounged around listening to the sounds of my happy children playing upstairs before we had to get ready for church. Now, this is a very rare occurance, so I relished in it! Just yesterday I took Claire and Savannah on some one on one time to the new Justice store here, and had to referee from the front seat, a fight that had broken out in the rear seat involving biting and poking and yelling at each other. The rest of the trip was fun, though. The girls are getting so old and are learning to be fantastic shopping buddies to their mom. Yesterday morning Todd and I went and played our first 18 hole golf course together since living in Utah. We had so much fun! And the kids had their favorite babysitter which made it all the more wonderful and relaxing! Caulder is at a new stage that involves lots of shoes, light switches and climbing of anything!! He can now manuever our playground ladder and freaks mom out when she all of a sudden she sees him all the way up in the treehouse when she had only turned around for a second. His vocabulary is also growing. He says many words and is trying to say a whole lot more. I love this age, although he keeps me very busy with his "boy-destructive" mode.

Illness, awards, teething, friends, fun

This week was mostly spent getting back into the swing of having mom and Caulder home. They got back monday night after a ton of fun in Denver playing with the cousins and their families. Thank you Javan and Jamin for a great weekend. You guys are such awesome hosts. Thanks to Jamin, especially, for not sending me home with blue teeth! We had a blast with your beautiful families!

We added preschool, college class, Annie's flu, Caulders tooth, Claire and Savannah's friends and their movie party, and a school assembly to the regular everyday craziness at our house, and it was an eventful week!! We are glad to have our family all together again. It definitely makes us realize that there is no place on earth we would rather be.

It's been awhile

I have been meaning to update for so long and it just keeps getting shoved to the bottom of my to do list.

Life is good for the Pace family. The summer was filled with swimming, birthday parties, camping and trips. We were very blessed to have endured each of those things without many trials along the way.

Caulder and I have been little domestic airplane frequent fliers as we are currently on our third out of four trips to take place within a months time. Flying to Denver, North Carolina, Washington, and next week back to Denver. Caulder has really gotten the hang of sitting on mom's lap for over an hour or more on the airplanes, sleeping in different places and eating out a lot. He also enjoys our layovers in various airports where I let him run wild to expell some energy while I run behind him. He figured out that the one place I can't follow him is into the men's bathroom, though, and tends to seek it out when hanging out in the terminal just so he can see my reaction when he heads that direction. Smart boy.

We sure miss our Todd and girls when we are gone, though. It makes us appreciate them even more when we are all together as a family.

Savannah and Claire both started dance again in this fall and Savannah is continuing her piano lessons. Savannah is now in third grade and Claire in first. I can't believe how fast they are gorwing up!!

The Kids beach days at school

The girls enjoyed a fun packed last week of school. They both celebrated beach days with a ton of water activities, game days, movies, ice cream, pizza, and loads of fun! I can't believe my babies will be in first and third grade in a couple of weeks. Both girls had terrific teachers, Miss Mitchell and Mrs. Williams this year and really enjoyed learning. Claire can now read and write and do simple math. We are working on her handwriting. Savannah LOVES to write stories and especially songs. She is excellent at Math as well. We are working on getting her to love reading more and have it be less of a chore. We look forward to a lot of fun for the summer break!

Father's day

Todd had a great Fathers day. We started out with a pancake breakfast in bed with a few homemade gifts from the kids, some new ties for church, and a picture of the kids and I for his desk at work. We let him enjoy a nap after church and a rib dinner was brbecued for dinner. Caulder had his first taste of ribs, and boy did he love it and get sooooo messy. We have the best daddy in the whole world, and I hope he knows it!!

Claire's Birthday

Claire turned 6 on June 4th. The day started out with a classic breakfast in bed full of way too much sugar ala Claire style. It was followed by mom bringing cupcakes to school to share with friends, and then an attempt to make a Gumball cake. The attempt failed, and we were lucky for a grocery store nearby to replace the "fallen" cake quickly. Claire wasn't too upset. We had some close friends and neighbors to help us eat the cake and celebrate with Claire. On the weekend she took her "best friend," (at the moment,) to John's Incredible Pizza and had a blast eating, playing games, and enjoying a few rides. They ended the day with some posing in the glow in the dark mini golf area and some HUGE ice cream sundaes.

The girls did enough reading at school to earn free Modesto Nuts (yes, that is actually our local baseball team's name,) tickets and a chance to parade onto the field. The had a blast! I think their favorite part was the free hot dogs and soft drinks that came with the ticket, and sitting with all of their friends. Savannah and Claire even took extra allowance money so they could buy cotton candy for themselves and some of their friends.

These are all photos from the past two weeks at our house. Some things pictured: The girls' jog-a-thon's at school. They have to run around the field and see how many laps they can do before passing out.... almost literally, Todd and Claire taking in an Oakland A's game, and Caulder licking the bowl clean of ice cream.... the only food item he does this with!

Some other highlights not pictured: A massive stomach bug that invaded our house beginning with Caulder and spinning it's way through each and every one of us leaving mom and dad with lots of laundry and hand holding. I think the worst is behind us. Caulder also earned his first black eye of childhood this past week when he fell off our stage in the playroom. He must have hit the edge just right, because his eye turned so black we had to nickname him spot!

This is my picture of the week. Man, I love these babies...

I have to relay a funny conversation I had with Claire this morning so that I have it written down and don't forget it. So many times we recieve very funny insights into her mind by the things she says, and I don't write them down and later wish I had.... So here goes... I'm in the kitchen doing dishes and she is finishing watching a Dora television showwhen she says...

Claire: "Mom, I'd be lucky if I had 17 fingers."

Me: Why do you wish you had 17 fingers?

Claire: Then I could have each finger do something different and I could do 17 things all at the same time.

Me: Sounds good. But why do you need to do 17 things all at one time?"

Claire: Because it's better than 10 things.

Case closed. She's right! I just wonder where she comes up with this stuff out of the blue? Do you think my endless multitasking is rubbing off on her? My quirky Claire. We just have to love her!

The past two weeks can be talked about best with pictures (plus I love looking at other people's pictures and hope you like looking at ours, too!)
Caulder got his first taste of our california summers in one of our new additions (this one just for him) in our backyard. He LOVES the water, and you can kinda see his new teeth (4 now) in this picture.
Claire- What can I say? She's our diva! That's a black umbrella she's holding up there. You can't see it in this picture, but she is also sporting a new soft cast on her left wrist. She fell while going across the monkey bars and fractured her wrist. She gets to wear it for another week or so.
Caulder was all about trying to get into the Garcia- Youngs new pool/blow up slide just so he could shoot the water guns. We enjoyed great friends, fun and mexican food for a pre-cinco de mayo block party in the cul de sac last night.
The girls stayed entertained with some water balloon tossing, and later water balloon fighting at the cinco de mayo party. Thanks for inviting us! We should make it a yearly tradition!

Savannah approached me last sunday morning and asked me to cut her hair like her cousin Aislyn's. I kept asking her if she was sure, and finally took the scissors to it. Kids are pretty cool that way. They don't debate about big decisions like this the way adults do, they just do it. This picture was before the cut-

The girls are enjoying our 80 degree whether with our latest eye sore to be added to the backyard. Todd promised me that this 15 foot pool was the largest we would get before opting for an in-ground pool. The girls are in Heaven!

As for other interesting things to mention that weren't photographed, Todd spent last weekend at a Camporee in charge of the orienteering merit badge. I heard so many compliments from other leaders about what a great job he did, and he was all smiles... camping is one of his favorite things in the whole world. I spent the saturday with Caulder in sacramento at my friend Sarah's baby shower where I got to see a lot of Curran's old nurses from the hospital. It was a little surreal and at times awkward, but overall worth it. Caulder flirted his way into each of the women's hearts.

I also spent this evening making 45 sombrero cookie's for the girls classes tomorrow for the Mexican independance day. As I sat cutting out the cookie dough, Claire kept me entertained with christmas carols as she said that today reminded her of christmas. I guess I need to make sugar cookies more often :)

I was tagged by Mara tonight, but I'll update that later... my brain is fried, and Keslie, I have another load of Laundry to do :)

In the past two weeks we are lucky enough to have had quite a few highlights.

Caulder found and LOVES the dishwasher!

He also LOVES his sisters! Whether it's pulling Annie's nose or

"looking up to" Claire as she does her hair.

They dish it out right back when they make him dress up as their prince!

We have had family staying with us which has been great! First it was Grandma Shirley (always willing to clean our house and be a captive audience for one of the girls many "shows")out for
Savannah's birthday

then Grandpa Con and Grandma Gloria (the girls can't get enough of her bedtime stories!) joined in on the fun and to top it off

we had Aunt Tami, Baby V, Aunt Debbie and cousin Aislyn (three peas in a pod when you add Aislyn to the mix of our girls) in for the Savannah's baptism. The girls and Caulder were on cloud nine while entertaining the group.

Savannah's baptism was wonderful with so many family and friends there. We are so proud of her! Afterwards she chose to host a fantastic barbecue with all her friends and their families. She was the center of attention, as it should be, and loved every minute of it!

This last photo was taken of Caulder staring out the window as daddy left for a church meeting... He adores his dad!

The girls, Grandpa and Todd played hookie from school and work to spend their monday in Monterey, which was fun although quite a bit of driving for an afternoon in the sand. And yes, gas is two cents more expensive for all of you because we are still blowing through it despite record prices!

Caulder is working on his fourth tooth in two weeks, and has earned a new nickname- "Turbo." He crawls from room to room before you can blink!

Claire recently dropped off the monkey bars onto her stomach and arm, and fractured her wrist. Puts her in a gel cast for 3 weeks! She was excited to show it off to her friends at school, but was pretty disappointed when she found out she couldn't go to gymnastics! She is still as sweet as ever and so is her cereal. This morning she poured herself some rice chex and then asked if she could have sugar on it. I told her she could have 1 spoonful. She proceeded to go to the untensil drawer and pull out one of my large serving spoons! Can't pull anything past that one!!

Savannah is a very big and mature 8 year old. She has been a big help in the mornings with Caulder when he wakes up before mom or dad, by taking him from his crib and bringing him in to me in bed. What service! I couldn't ask for a better deal!

We celebrated Savannah's 8th birthday by starting with a favorite lucky charms breakfast in bed, followed by Grandma Shirley flying in for a visit and then we braved Club Libby Lu for Sharpay(HSM)Pooch Parlor Makeovers. I say braved, because there is no experience quite like entering a store that has picked far too small of a location for so many teeny boppers (I think there were about a hundred or so in about 1,000 sq ft plus merchandise) all wishing they were Hannah Montana, and coming out singing either jonas brothers or hannah montana because the same songs were playing over and over. Savannah, Claire and Hanna thought it was the best! Home for cake and ice cream and a few more neighborhood friends who surprised Savannah (she is still talking about it.) She scored some great presents and is very excited about her upcoming baptism and family visits this coming weekend...

Easter Post

Thanks to Jessica helping me to get this looking somewhat decent (thanks Jess!), officially this is our first post, and our goal is to update every other week or as interesting events arise....hmmm.. when is life not interseting? Ours seems to be filled with fun lately. Easter was a blast, spending the morning sleeping (Todd didn't wake me up to see the kids find their baskets

because he knew I had been up with Caulder in the night,) and enjoying candy. Caulder had his first taste of the sugary stuff when the Easter Bunny left a sucker in his basket. We had church in the afternoon, visited Lakewood, and then enjoyed a fantastic meal and easter egg hunt at our friends, the Birches house. The girls are off track for one more week and then we will be back into the grind of schedules. We have had a fun filled month of outings, movies, and way too many friends over to play! I have two very social school girls! Caulder had his 9 month check this morning, and he is great except that he is a little small (only 23% for weight and 18% for height.) We'll get him fattened up. This last weekend we went to the beach... a sunny siesta in our play room! The girls set it up and requested we get our swimsuits for an adventure! The kids opted for umbrella protection instead of sunscreen and fun was had by all! Caulder missed out, too sleepy....

The girl's saved their money (and Grandma Gloria pitched in) and got a kitten with all the trimmings for Christmas! His name: Cooper "Slooper" Pace... it used to be Cooper "Pooper" Pace, but it turns out he is pretty good with the potty training and deserved an upgrade!

Hi. This is new. This is Caulder in San Fran with all the girls. He sure got a lot of attention this weekend from all the ladies! That's right, a lover, not a fighter!
